I vote for the "Lee lies." If, as they say, statistics don't lie, then the appropriate response would then be "Statistics don't lie, but Lee does." Which brings up another point. Do the statistics that Lee teach(es?) lie by virtue of the fact that she teaches them? I think there is a mathematical answer to this of which I cannot conceive.

I think the Law of Two Negatives kick in at some point and a lier making a statement that is inherently a lie results in some modicum of truth.
